Reliability

The scale of SIP technology has significantly increase in Japan after a series of earthquakes, which tested and proved the reliability of panel housing. What made it so popular was durable and light construction.

Tightly bonded multi-layer panels withstand an axial force equal to 10 tons for a single 1.25 m wide panel and a transverse force equal to 2 tons per square meter (the resistance to 350 kg per square metre is sufficient for semi-detached houses). Similar structures are used for 5-storey buildings in the USA and Canada.

SIPSIP.LT has put a lot of effort in adapting this Northern American technology to the EU requirements and standards, applicable to construction materials. That is why, regardless of the excellent hardness characteristics of the panels themselves, the construction process also includes a reinforced frame with partial beam support, and the flooring is built only on supporting wooden structures. All of these measures increase the building's reliability and durability.
